I studied Actuarial Science at college. This is the reason I am here, almost everything they taught me at college about the financial markets doesn't work, I am in the need to find my own way to the markets.
How long have you been trading? Tell us your story.
I was first interested in the financial markets during High School, where I learned by myself about Technical Analysis (Googling). Then, I decided to study a bachelor's degree that would make me the best possible trader. In Mexico, that would be Actuarial Science. Once I finished college, I tried implementing the strategies taught (Markowitz portfolio, Time Series) and I realized that they don't work, those strategies lose money. Therefore, I tried making my own strategies, which work, but have a very low win rate (trend-following strategies have low win rates). Hence, I am trying to be a scalper instead, with a higher win rate.
